Rhonda’s passion for the built environment began when she was a girl tagging along with her dad, a general contractor, on his construction sites. After a day with him, she was inspired to draw her own floor plans in a notebook. In her mind, she saw the designs play out three-dimensionally. That was when she knew she wanted the designs to become reality.
She earned two Interior Design degrees that equipped her for a career in the residential interior design industry, which covered interior design, kitchen and bath design, and residential interior renovations.
After acquiring her NCIDQ accreditation, Rhonda then served in the commercial interior design industry.
She has managed residential interior design projects for over 25 years and has served as a Client Liaison for commercial clients. Rhonda knows firsthand the power of good design and construction, and her lifelong passion and commitment to excellence form the cornerstone for Powerhouse Interior Design.
Tim Burgess grew up in the construction business as he worked for his father’s construction company building custom houses. He has over 25 years in construction and project management experience, and has earned various credentials, such as a Virginia Class A Commercial Building (CBC), Highway/Heavy (H/H), Residential Building (RBC) license and certification by the OSHA Safety Training Institute.
